
Prevention
Regular cervical screening is proven to be an effective way of preventing cervical cancer.
Besides regular screening, you can also take the following preventive measures to reduce human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and risk of cervical cancer:

1. Receive HPV vaccine before initiation of sexual activity

2. Practise safer sex (e.g. use condoms and avoid having multiple sexual partners) to reduce the chance of HPV infection and to protect against sexually transmitted diseases

3. Do not smoke
